A Guide to Manresa

Located in the province of Barcelona the city of Manresa is set against the stunning back drop of the Mountains of Monserrat Nature Reserve. At the centre of the city we find the basilica of Santa Maria de la Seo. It is a unique building in that it combines Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance styles. There are many other fantastic buildings in the city including the city hall, and the Palace of Justice.

When looking around the city we find that it has a connection to one of the most famous catholics in history, Ignatius of Loyola. The Pont Vell is a beautiful bridge and the area where the Jesuits came to pray and the Santa Cova was the sanctuary where the Loyola would stay when he was in the city. The surrounding area of the city is stunning and perfect for those who enjoy taking long walks and hiking. The city is a fantastic place to come and is always welcoming to visitors.
