A Guide to Huesca

Surrounded by the mountain ranges of Gratal, Garbadiella and Guara and has a border with France through passages in the mountains. The town is thought to have been founded in the 1st Century BC and was taken over by Moorish forces approximately 900 years later and it was the Capital of the region of Huesca until 1118 when that responsibility was passed onto Zaragoza. The city is a perfect stopping point for a night and to be able to enjoy the quiet ambience of the area. It is also the prefect access point to the major towns and cities in the country.
