A Guide to Levanto

Levanto is located north-west along the coast from La Spezia. The sea in this area as well as the coastal beauty is what captures many hearts. Diving and surfing are ideal here but walking in the region is the most popular. There is a coastal footpath that allows you to appreciate the area to its maximum.

Taking you past the ancient Castle, the Medieval walls, the Church of St Andrea, the Material Culture exhibition, the Medieval Loggia, the Oratory of St Giacomo, the Monastery of the Clarisse, the Convent and the Church of the Annunziata, it allows you to not only indulge in the natural beauty of the landscape but also in some of the most historical sites in Levanto.

The Hermitage of St Antonia del Mesco is a recommended addition to your itinerary. There is a variety of festivities that add a vibrancy to Levanto. These include the Levanto Choral Review, the Festival of the Sea, the Amditheatro Festival, the Festival of St Rocco, Nostra Santissima della Neve, the Gastronomic Walk 'Mangialunga', the Stralevanto cross country race and the Solennità di Nostra Santissima della Guardia.
