A Guide to Erchie
Furore is a hillside town hidden away off the road along the Amalfi Coast. Its unusual urban structure consists of terraces of houses being carved into the rock face. It has a remarkable appearance with a labyrinth of passage ways and winding streets with a complete absence of open spaces.
This has led to the villages past forming close connections with the cinema world. The extraordinary setting of the village has made it a popular set for films including "Il Miracolo", "Paisà ", "La Macchina Ammazzacattivi", and "Viaggio in Italia" which has brought names such as Federico Fellini, Roberto Rossellini and Anna Magnani to Furore.
