Description |
Location. Cowpet Bay, home of the St. Thomas Yacht Club, is the site of the Elysian Beach Resort. Just minutes outside of Red Hook, with its quaint restaurants and nightlife, and where visitors can take the ferry to St. John or the British Virgin Islands.
Hotel Features. Enclosed by palm shaded hills, the resort rises from its secluded beach to offer a magnificent setting for leisure travel. Bonnie's By The Sea is a casual, open air restaurant/bar featuring theme nights throughout the week and live music Wednesday to Sunday. Robert's American Grill dazzles guest with a dinner pianist and delectable dishes such as lobster crab cakes, baked brie and coconut crusted mahi mahi. Other on site amenities include a health club with exercise equipment, a sauna, pool, spa, a poolside tiki bar, tennis courts, conference facilities and car rental service. In addition, guests have privileges to the amenities at Bluebeards Castle and Bluebeards Beach Club, with complimentary shuttle service provided to and from the resorts.
Guestrooms. The resort offers a variety of accommodations, including loft, studio, one and two bedroom villas. Each unit features a private balcony (some with ocean views), as well as sparkling white tile floors, rattan furniture, tropical decor and island inspired artwork. All studios offer a full bath with separate dressing and vanity areas, sitting area with rattan furniture, kitchenette, air conditioning, ceiling fans and cable television. All one bedroom units offer a kitchen plus two full baths with separate dressing areas and a dining room table with seating for four.
Expert Tip. Visitors can take a guided tour through the Mangrove Lagoon Wildlife Refuge and Marine Sanctuary where egrets, pelicans, iguanas and barracudas all reside.
