A Guide to Tulum

Located about 100 miles south of Cancun, Tulum is in some ways divided into three parts. There is the town, the beach and the archaeological site. In the town itself there are a number of hotels and restaurants both at very reasonable prices and serving regional delicacies from the area, which are delicious.

The town is home to the people who work on the beach resort and the archaeological site. The beach is perfect for long walks and the occasional swim and is often the site for barbecues and drinks stands for you to enjoy.

The archaeological sit is home to many of the ruins left behind the Mayans is gives a fascinating picture of Mayan life.

Tulum is perfect for those who wish to be able to have a peaceful and quiet holiday and for those who are interested in learning about the culture and history of the region.
