A Guide to Cozumel

Cozumel is an island off the east coast of Mexico. The average temperature of the island is approximately 26°C, though it does have heavy rainfall in the summer. The island is predominantly jungle with white sand beaches and lagoons. The island is surrounded by coral reef; in fact it is the second largest reef system in the world and perfect for scuba diving.

There are numerous nature reserves which were brought in to try and protect the many indigenous species and these are perfect for eco tourism outings. There are many hotels, golf courses and restaurants and the island is famous for its regional and excellent seafood dishes. Most come to the island to rest and relax on their holiday though the night life on the island is still fantastic and parties on well into the night.
