A Guide to Huatulco

Found on the Pacific coast Huatulco is 171 miles from Oaxaca and its average temperature is a humid 28°C. There are nine bays and 36 beaches, which are protected areas and are part of the Bahias de Huatulco National Park. The beaches have fantastic views and sparkling blue waters.

Along the beaches there are lovely hotels and one of the best golf courses on the Pacific coast. Nearby there is the popular beach resort of Santa Cruz, which is one of the most famous ecological nature reserves. It is an amazing place for scuba diving and snorkelling due to the extensive marine life and coral reef. Also in April and May the Sailfish fishing tournament is held.

The landscapes around the town are equally as stunning and are perfect for hiking or camping or a whole host of other activities. The town is very friendly with the locals very accommodating and helpful. The food is superb with many diverse restaurants and menus to choose from and the culture of the town is easy to access due to its art works and museums around the town.
