Arriving by car From Rome follow the Autostrada A1 and follow the Florence Exit marked Firenze Sud. Follow the signs for VialiDi Circonvallazione and then signs for Fiesole. As you ascend the gill towards Fiesole Villa San Michele is on the right hand side of the road.
If you are arriving with your own car at the Villa San Michele, please proceed to the main entrance of the hotel where our concierge will park your car for you. There is no charge for parking.

I went to Villa San Michele for a long weekend with my girlfriend to celebrate an anniversary. The entire experience was stunning... about as good as it gets.
The hotel is a converted renaissance monastery situated in a corner of hillside overlooking Florence - the location and views are amazing. You are surrounded by peace and quiet - waking up to the twittering of birds in the forest - but have Florence down below in the valley of the Arno River.
Outside the main building, the gardens rise up in terraces to a heated pool and outdoor restaurant up at the top. Our junior suite was built into the hillside below the pool, and was brilliant - really could not be better.
If the weather is warm you dine outside on a terrace overlooking Florence - if you want romantic, you got it. Food and wine both fantastic, and service impeccable - these guys make anyone, no matter how old or young or well dressed, feel like they are at home.
It's not cheap, but it has to be one of the best hotel experiences in the world.
