A Guide to Bressanone

Bressanone is located close to the meeting of the Rienza and Inarco rivers, it is a city with an ancient historical past, the traces of which can still be seen today. There are a variety of ancient roads, bridges, colonnades and churches which have links to Bressanone’s history. Sights to see include the Cathedral and cloisters, the Palazzo Vescovi which now houses the Diocesan Museum and a variety of Nativity scenes. In the old part of Bressanone one can relax and contemplate in the tranquil surroundings with the panoramic view of the majestic hills, vineyards and orchards.

Bressanone holds a range of events throughout the year, the most famous of which is the Fiesta in the Historic Center, Caberet del Teatro in the 'Anreiter' cellar, and numerous concerts. Bressanone is also a chosen destination for conferences and symposiums held in the Nikolaus Cusano Academy.
Gastronomes will love the local cuisine of 'cucina della Valle isarco'.
