A Guide to Lampedusa

Lampedusa is one of the islands located south of Sicily. An island that is ideal for exploring on foot with its beautiful beaches and clean waters. The primary industry on the island is fishing and there are many fishing boats around the island. It is ideal for diving and the marine life is particularly spectacular in the Bay of the Isola dei Conigli.

Here, as well as the divine white beaches and emerald waters, you can find Caretta-Caretta turtles and the interesting striped lizard called the Apsammodromus Algarus. Other bays which offer similar attractions include the Tabaccara Bay and the Bay of the Madonnina.

The Sacramento Cliffs are another area of the island which shouldn’t be missed, whilst Albero del Sole is the highest point on the island providing fabulous views over Lampedusa and the surrounding islets.
