A Guide to Sestriere
Sestriere is 2035 metres above sea level and is situated between Val Chisone and the towering Susa Valley. Sestriere is a prestigious and popular winter tourist destination, with a history linked to skiing. The town is part of the skiing district of Via Lattea together with Claviere, Cesana, Sansicario and Sauze d’Oulx.
Italy’s most beautiful ski slopes can be found in Sestriere at Banchetta, Fraiteve, Sises and Rio Nero. Sestriere is an all year round holiday resort as it’s the perfect summer location to relax and enjoy sports such as mountaineering, mountain biking, hand gliding, golf, tennis, fishing at Lake Losetta, kayaking, horse riding, rafting and canoeing.
