- Try to avoid giving:
- Gifts wrapped in black as this is traditionally a mourning colour
- Gifts wrapped in purple as this is a symbol of bad luck
- Yellow flowers as they indicate jealousy
- Red flowers as they indicate secrecy
- Chrysanthemums as they are used at funerals
- If you are giving wine, make sure that it is a good vintage
- Gifts will usually be open upon receiving
