A Guide to Grenoble

Grenoble is often thought of as the self-proclaimed capital of the Alps. The city contains 4 universities and 50 000 students. The city also lays claim to the first revolt of the French revolution in 1788. The first thing that should be done on arrival in Grenoble is to take the teleferique to the top of the hills and to the Fort de la Bastille The town holds the beautiful Palais de Justice as well as many museums such as the Musee Stendhal and the Musee de Grenoble and many others charting the rise of the town and information on the area.

The town like many in the Alps has fantastic woodland, beautiful snow topped peaks and a fantastic area for long walks and exploring the area.
