France Cote D'Azur

A Guide to Saint Tropez

St Tropez didn’t start off, as a major resort originally the town was just a fishing village founded by the Greeks. If you seek the spot light and want the chance to see one of the big screen stars then plan your trip for the summer months though if you want a more calming and relaxing holiday without the media hype then spring or autumn is probably the best time to come.

Obviously the main attractions to the resort are the climate and the beaches. However there are fantastic sites around the town such as the Chateau Suffren built in 980, which now on occasion host art exhibitions. There are many other museums charting the history of the area and a fantastic sixteenth century Citadel.

St Tropez is a resort perfect for those who want to show their wealth and try to see the stars but not for those who want to be able to just relax and have a calming holiday.
