France Burgundy

A Guide to Nevers

Situated at the point where the two rivers Loire and Nievre Nevers is a perfect place for a day out if you are in the region as though it is not necessarily a tourism hot spot it is still a picturesque little town in the heart of the Burgundy region of France. Its old town dates back to the twelfth century and from the bridge over the river Loire the town is seen from a perfect angle amid the terns diving into the river.

The town is known in France for its hand painted blue porcelain products. The town also hosts open-air concerts in the summer and the restaurants and bars are perfect for sampling the regional cuisines and beverages of the area.
