A Guide to Atlanta

Located in the state of Georgia the city of Atlanta was the host of the highly successful 1996 Olympic Games. The city has something for everyone and is the perfect destination for any holiday. The weather averages approximately 85˚F in the summer and 52˚F in the winter. The city has fantastic attractions for all the family from every sport, the Georgia Aquarium or the many shops which line the streets of the city. The city has a long sporting heritage which is emphasised by the many sporting teams that play within the city. A great trip would be to go to Turner Field or the Georgia Dome to watch the Atlanta Falcons.

For all those who can’t think of anything worse than sports why don ‘t you visit the many shopping malls around the city where there is enough shopping to keep you entertained for hours with all the major brands and some great deals. If shopping isn’t your scene then there are many other sites to visit. There are many museums which chart the rise and the history of the city and the state. If you are looking for a relaxing trip to relax and get away from the stresses of work and home life then you must visit one of the many spas and resorts which are on offer which provide a stress free environment and relaxing treatments to revitalise the body and make you feel re-energised.

In the evening the city becomes alive with fantastic restaurants bars and clubs catering to your every need. There are a wide range of restaurants where you will find any sort of cuisines. The bars and clubs are fantastic and are open late in to the night and are perfect who like to party late into the night and the early hours of the morning.

Atlanta is a fantastic city to come to for a vacation and has everything for the family. Though the best time to come is in the summer this is also when there are the most tourists in the city so if you are looking for a little less crowd then September is the best bet as it is still a lovely temperature and there are fewer crowds
