Location. Spanning over 12 acres of beachfront grounds, the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne (Fla.) is located on the island's eastern shore, just two miles from the Tennis Center at Crandon Park and five miles from downtown Miami.
Hotel Features. Tuscan cuisine is offered at Cioppino, where fresh cheeses are flown in directly from Italy twice weekly. Specialties include Cioppino Mare e Fetunta, a mix of mussels, clams, shrimp and calamari doused in a tomato sauce. Al fresco, oceanfront dining is available at Cantina Beach. Coastal Mexican fare can be enjoyed under a thatched roof with lounges and a fire pit. Meetings and social events take place at the impressive ocean view Ballroom or the extensive outdoor function space. Hotel amenities include high speed Internet access and a business center. The Spa, a 20,000 square foot retreat that treats and refines the body with such services as Seawater Therapy and personalized treatment regimens by Prada Beauty are located on site. Tai Chi, "Pool ates," Pilates in the pool, and yoga are available at the health club. Outdoor on site water activities include personal cabanas on the beach, two outdoor pools and a spa tub. The hotel features the Ritz Kids Club, offering supervised activities and educational trips. Babysitting services and children's menus are also available.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms offer ocean, bay or garden views, feature marble baths and offer convenient amenities including lighted makeup mirrors, in room safes, desks, bathrobes and minibars. Select rooms feature Frette linens.
Expert Tip. Tennis games are fine tuned at the hotel's Tennis Garden, complete with 10 soft clay courts and one hard court. The largest tennis center at any Ritz Carlton was created by tennis legend and Resident Pro, Cliff Drysdale.
