Location. Sitting in the middle of the Theater District in New York, N.Y., The Muse, is only one half block from Broadway theaters and close to Restaurant Row, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and the elegant shops of Fifth Avenue. Hotel Features. With its arched limestone and brick façade, this Manhattan hotel features a mahogany lined lobby with whimsical décor and a 15 foot vaulted ceiling featuring a commissioned Matisse inspired mural of the nine muses. The theater motif spills over into the hotel's restaurant, District, which serves innovative American cuisine such as Grilled Chicken Focaccia Sandwiches and Warm Lobster and Spinach Salad. Staff members can deliver exercise equipment to guestrooms, or patrons can visit the hotel's 24 hour fitness center.
Guestrooms. At this New York City hotel, guestrooms are spacious and feature jewel toned accents that complement simple wood furnishings and contemporary lighting. The 200 guestrooms have premium bedding with abstract print spreads, down comforters, and hyper allergenic bedding available. Cable television, CD players, high speed Internet access, and video game consoles are available. The in room safes can accommodate laptops.
Expert Tip. Less than four blocks from The Muse is the International Center of Photography, a museum and school dedicated to the understanding and appreciation of photography. The museum contains more than 100,000 photographs with the strongest of its holdings being American and European documentary photography of the 1930s to the 1990s.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was her first time in New York City. I couldn't have wished for a better introduction to the big Apple! We had a lavish room on the 19th floor for a really unbeatable price which we got on the Internet. I would have even been prepared to pay a little more for such first class accommodation.
If you're fond of a pre-dinner apertif, join the wine club for free tastings every evening from 5pm in the lobby. It makes for a great atmosphere!
One thing to remember: they were very strict about their 3pm check-in, but other than that I would heartily recommend the Muse.
