Description

Located two blocks from The White House, St. Regis Hotel in Washington, D.C., has been home to royalty, Presidents and prime ministers since 1926. Providing elegant accommodations for discriminating visitors, St. Regis Washington, D.C. has been named one of the "Top 200 Hotels in the World" by Condé Nast Traveler, "Top 700 Greatest Hotels" by Travel & Leisure and "Top 50 North American Hotels" by Condé Nast Traveler. This historic hotel is just north of Lafayette Square and within one mile of the galleries, museums and monuments of the National Mall.
Built to resemble an Italian Renaissance palace, the St. Regis is richly appointed with European antiques, Louis XVI chandeliers, Palladian windows and damask draperies. The hotel's St. Regis Restaurant serves modern American cuisine using local, seasonal ingredients in an elegant setting with crystal chandeliers and vintage, hand stenciled ceilings. The Library Lounge, with cherry wood paneling and bookcases of leather bound volumes, offers more than 20 daily selections of fine global wines served by the glass. For business travelers, the St. Regis offers a technology help desk, secretarial and translation services, and a 24 hour business center. Facilities include eight meeting rooms in addition to the Crystal Ballroom, which has 18 foot ceilings, sparkling chandeliers and landscaped terrace views. The hotel also offers a fitness room and directly across the street is the Capital City Club and Spa, an 11,000 square foot health club and day spa open to St. Regis guests.

The St. Regis features 193 guestrooms, providing arched windows with city views, French Empire style furnishings, marble baths, Egyptian cotton bedding and high speed Internet access. Guestrooms are set back from the corridors by small foyers lit with tiny chandeliers. Children receive milk and cookies at turndown and guests receive complimentary copies of Newsweek and Smithsonian magazines.
