Description

Location. The 18th century former French Quarter townhouse, Dauphine Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, La., was built in 1775 and sits one block from Bourbon Street and Royal Street. Various attractions are located one mile from the hotel, including Harrah's Casino, the Mississippi River and the Riverwalk.
Hotel Features. Complimentary continental breakfasts and complimentary afternoon tea are served daily, and a bar and coffee lounge are both located on site. Complimentary cocktails are available in the bar, which also houses a library. Meeting space is available, along with complimentary wireless Internet access. A landscaped courtyard hosts an outdoor splash pool and spa tub. Fitness equipment is available on site.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms feature desks, dial up Internet access for a fee, cable television and coffeemakers. Bathrooms display granite countertops, bathrobes and Lord & Mayfair toiletries. The hotel provides turndown service and an air filtration system in each room.

Expert Tip. May Baily's Place, one of the well known bordellos in the red light district, now serves as the hotel bar. Guests are provided with a copy of the license issued to May in 1857.
