Location. The Silver Legacy Resort Casino, located six miles from Reno Tahoe International Airport, pays homage to Nevada's infamous silver mining era. The Reno Events Center, Truckee River Arts Center, and Century Riverside Theater are within four blocks of this resort. The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, Reno Livestock Events Center and the University of Nevada are one mile away.

Resort features include an hourly laser show displayed on the domed ceiling above a 120 foot high, full scale mining rig that highlights Nevada's Comstock era and the life of fictitious silver baron Sam Fairchild. The Silver Legacy Resort Casino's health spa showcases a Swedish sauna, spa, steam and massage rooms, whirlpool, outdoor pool, fitness center and sundeck. Entertainment abounds at the hotel's Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club that hosts headline entertainment. Several superb, on site restaurants and lounges cater to discriminating palates. Sterling's Seafood Steakhouse offers steak, poultry and seafood dishes prepared on a mesquite grill. Or, diners may select from menus at Fairchild's Oyster Bar, Victorian Buffet or Sweetwater Café. Rum Bullions Island Bar is an open beam warehouse style bar that features colorful island drinks and nightly dueling pianists. The hotel's concierge services desk in the lobby is open Sunday through Thursday 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. The concierge desk assists with dinner reservations, purchasing show tickets, scheduling city tours and providing information about the area.
Guestrooms. Configured in three, tiered towers, this resort hotel offers 1,720 guestrooms decorated in Victorian mining era decor. Dial up Internet access and cable television are featured in all guestrooms.
Expert Tip. The Comstock era artifacts showcased in the hotel's lobby are authentic. Ceramic bottles, pitchers, and spittoons were all unearthed at various Virginia City dig sites, and are part of a traveling display.
