Description

Location. Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel is located at the base of the Steamboat Ski Resort in Steamboat Springs, Colo. near Gondola Square and surrounded by the 1.1 million acre Routt National Forest. Summer or winter, Steamboat is the place to be for outdoor recreation. There are ample opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding and, of course, skiing and snowboarding. Dozens of galleries and almost 70 bars and restaurants are positioned about town, providing plenty of off mountain entertainment.
Hotel Features. The Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel is rustic, yet elegant. The grand lobby welcomes visitors to this luxurious mountainside retreat, showcasing rich natural woods and stone tile flooring. The hotel provides over 24,000 square feet of conference, ballroom and outdoor meeting and event space. The large freeform pool is heated for year round enjoyment, and massive jetted tubs soothe tired muscles after a long day. The Cabin, a lobby level steak and chop house, has a warm ambience with soft red walls, leather booths, stone floors and a grand fireplace surrounded by leather chairs and sofas. Other on site dining options include a café and a bar and grill. The Grand Spa offers an extensive list of treatments and there is a eucalyptus steam room, sauna, and fitness center with cardio and weight training equipment. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided.

Guestrooms. The resort offers a wide array of soundproofed accommodations ranging from parlor rooms and studios to one and two bedroom condos. Studios, suites and condos feature either kitchens or kitchenettes for dining in. Views are of gorgeous Yampa Valley or mountain vistas. All accommodations have CD stereos, Internet access, video game consoles and cable television.

Expert Tip. Steamboat Lake State Park, 28 miles north of Steamboat, offers plenty of recreation options, including swimming, canoeing and boating in the summer. In the winter, the park offers ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
