Description |
Location. The 42 acre Wyndham Orlando Resort in Orlando, Fla., sits on a tranquil, lagoon laced oasis two miles from Universal's theme parks and 12 miles from Walt Disney World. The resort provides complimentary scheduled shuttles to the Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and Wet 'n Wild.
Hotel Features. Augustine's Bar & Grill serves breakfast buffets and a la carte meals. At Gatorville, tropical drinks and unique fare such as fried alligator and fried cheesecake with raspberry and mango sauces are served poolside. Over 70,000 square feet of meeting and event space is available, along with a business center, event catering and high speed Internet access for a fee. The hotel boasts three heated outdoor pools, sundecks and a spa tub. Health regimens are maintained with a fitness center, sauna, steam and massage rooms. Kid friendly amenities include a playground, game room, ice cream shop and two pools.
Guestrooms. The Old Florida styled guestrooms display pale yellow walls, madras fabrics and bamboo chairs. Amenities include high speed Internet access, Golden Door toiletries, desks and in room massages by appointment. Select guestrooms feature alcoves with bunk beds, a child sized table and nightlight.
Expert Tip. The I Ride Trolley stops just outside the hotel and takes passengers along a six mile stretch of Orlando's main tourist strip, International Drive, for a fee.
