Location. Located less than four kilometers from the charming shops and restaurants of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas All Inclusive family resort faces Medano Beach where guests may sun along the Sea of Cortez. Six golf courses range in distance between less than two kilometers away, to 23 kilometers from the resort.
Hotel Features. Most hotel amenities, activities and gratuities at the resort are included in the room rate. Gleaming marble floors lead guests into a Spanish style lobby accented by carved beam ceilings and a dome with a massive wrought iron chandelier. A health and beauty spa offers massage and beauty treatments, women's and men's saunas and two open air spa tubs. An Internet/game room contains four computers with high speed Internet access, table and video games. An ocean view fitness center adds soothing seaside ambience to an otherwise active work out session. Two mirror image complexes feature freeform outdoor pools with infinity edges, semicircular jetted sections and in water lounges. One pool offers peaceful seclusion while the other boasts a lively swim up bar. Dining is an artistic event at El Medano where high decorative ceilings, draped windows and sweeping archways provide dramatic backdrop for the restaurant's authentic dishes. Three additional restaurants serve a range of culinary delights from Japanese fare to poolside snacks.
Guestrooms. This four story all inclusive property offers 642 guest suites where minibars feature liquor dispensers. Furnished balconies or ground floor terraces offer views of the Sea of Cortez. Sitting areas include sofa beds or loveseats and wood paddle ceiling fans provide air circulation in addition to suites' air conditioning. Decor features tile floors and crown molding.
Expert Tip. Although it's ideal for strolling and sunbathing, the beach in front of the resort is unsafe for swimming because of powerful undertows. Médano Beach's safe swimming and water sports area can be reached by walking south 400 meters.
