The Grand Hotel Villa Politi is situated in the centre of Siracusa, close to the archaeological museum Paolo Orsi, the sanctuary of Madonna delle Lacrime and the historical part of the town. It is literally built over the caves of the Cappuccini, where captured Greek sailors once awaited their death, while its terraces and windows offer a spectacular and unforgettable panoramic view.
The hotel is an old building from 1862, fully renovated in 1998 but still maintaining is original structure. It boasts sophisticated, exclusive common spaces such as a large hall with large gold mirrors, precious objects and marble floors.

A public bus service runs from the airport to Siracusa, or alternatively visitors can catch a taxi from outside the arrivals lounge of the airport. A typical taxi fare to the hotel will cost in the region of 60 EUR. Buses also run from the airport to the centre of Catania, from where a train can be caught to within two kilometres of Siracusa.
