The Palace Residence is a modern residential complex consisting of two separate buildings located 800 metres from slopes and lifts of Sestriere. The 96 apartments feature simple décor with Alpine style wood furnishings and balconies with views of the mountains. All have separate lounge areas with sofabeds and kitchenettes with washing machines, gas hotplates and refrigerators. Further amenities include bathrooms, hair dryers, safes and telephones.
The restaurant serves a wide range of local and international cuisine with buffet and à la carte dishes available plus regular gala dinner evenings. Guests can relax in the fitness centre which includes a sauna, hydro-massage and masseur, solarium and UVA shower. More energetic guests can work out in the gym plus the hotel offers billiards, bridge and an amusement arcade with table tennis and arcade games. There is an entertainment programme of activities including afternoon games, tournaments, dancing and live music with a separate play area provided for four to eight year olds. The hotel also houses its own bar, a small grocery store and offers complimentary parking, safe-deposit boxes and ski storage rooms. A shuttle bus takes guests to and from the ski lifts of the Sestriere ski resort which offers skiing and winter sports opportunities for all ages and abilities. The 32 lifts service 120 kilometres of graded runs (39 percent easy, 42 percent intermediate, and 19 percent difficult) plus there is lift-linked access to the Milky Way (Via Lattea) ski area. As well as downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing, activities including ice climbing, dog sledding, snowmobiling and ice skating are also available. The Olympic village of Sestriere has an athletics track, swimming pool, golf course, fishing lake and sports centre offering five-a- side football, volleyball, tennis, climbing and archery, Alternatively, guests can sample the local bars and restaurants. The nearest train station is 45 kilometres away in Bussoleno; the nearest airport is Turin, 90 kilometres and approximately 80 minutes' drive away.

Directions |
At Turin Airport, a railway links passengers to Turin's GTT Dora Railway Station. It departs every 30 minutes from the station, a few metres from the air terminal. From here, a train can be taken to Bussoleno train station, where a bus or coach can be taken to the Sestriere resort centre.
Driving directions: Take the A5 motorway to Torino, then A32 and exit at Oulx/Cesana/Sestriere. Continue on the national road S24 to Sestriere and resort of Grangesises. Once in Sestriere follow signs for the Centre/Palazzetto dello Sport. Arriving at Piazzale Agnelli, turn left and drive for approximately one kilometre. The hotel is adjacent to the Palazzetto dello Sport.
