An historic estate sprawling across 55 hectares of sunny hills and the Val di Cornia, this Sassetta hotel offers an elegant and luxurious base for your vacation in Tuscany. Just a few minutes from Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci, Marina di Castagneto and countless other beautiful beaches on the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Tenuta is superbly placed between sea and countryside. This magical place is tucked away among the lush Mediterranean vegetation, the vineyards and the olive groves of southern Tuscany.
Tenuta La Bandita is the old estate house (dating from the 18th century but now carefully restructured into a four-star country house hotel). The two-storey house has a large panoramic terrace, and has just ten cozy bedrooms. There are two 'dependances' nearby: La Foresteria and Gli Ulivi have 14 comfortable bedrooms between them, most with small gardens. A tennis court, swimming pool and private chapel are there for guests. This is the perfect start for cycling or horse riding, trips to the beach, the islands of the Tuscan archipelago, to art cities such as Florence, Pisa and Siena, or to the little Tuscan hill towns.
The estate's restaurant is situated in the main villa: specialities include the estate's own, organic produce, such as wild boar, 'Cinta Senese' pork, and virgin olive oil ... the best of Tuscan cuisine in fact. There is a swimming pool, tennis courts and rooms for small conferences. All the bedrooms are furnished with period pieces and ornaments, all enhancing the warm, period atmosphere of this elegant and comfortable house. Bedrooms have private bathrooms with shower and WC, minibar, in-room safe and hairdryer. Family rooms are also available.

Take the SS 1 Aurelia (South).
Exit at Donoratico.From Donoratico, follow signs to Castagneto Carducci
Then Sasseta. Before entering Sasseta turn left at sign for Monteverdi
