Furnished by local craftsmen, decorated with artworks by local contemporary artists and surrounded by its own extensive gardens, the Hotel Il Querceto Dorgali lies among the oak forests of the Gennargentu natural park. The 20 modern guestrooms feature whitewashed walls, solid walnut furniture and hand woven carpets. Most rooms have balconies with views out over the Gennargentu parkland and mountains and all rooms have cable television, radios and telephones.
Guests can wander through the hotel's extensive gardens or enjoy a drink on the terrace. The hotel's restaurant, the first to open in Dorgali, offers regional specialties using seasonal ingredients like porcini mushrooms and wild asparagus picked from the surrounding countryside. The surrounding forests, canyons and mountains are ideal for trekking, both on foot, or by jeep, while kayaking and hang-gliding are also available, both within five kilometers of the hotel. Cagliari Airport (CAG - Elmas) is 208 kilometers from the hotel. A bus runs between the airport and Nuoro, from where the hotel can organize pick ups.

From Olbia, follow directions to Nuoro. Turn right at the crossroads at Lula Dorgali. From Alghero, follow the directions to Macomer then to Nuoro. Turn right at Lula Dorgali crossroads. The hotel is on the right hand side about 400 meters from the town sign.
The mountainous terrain surrounding the hotel is best explored by mountain bike, on foot, or by jeep.
