Description

Location. Set amid 25,000 square metres of lush parkland, the Romano Palace Luxury Hotel is a modern property with a traditionally Mediterranean exterior lined with a colonnade, and opens to a vast atrium characterised by vaulted arches and rustic furnishings. The hotel is located opposite the beach, two kilometres from the Roman ruins in the centre of Catania. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is three kilometres away and can be reached in approximately ten minutes by car.
Hotel Features. The Romano Palace features a private beach and an outdoor pool with adjacent jetted tub, and cocktails are served in the hotel bar. The hotel's public areas are equipped with wireless Internet access, and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Further amenities include around the clock room service, currency exchange and a multilingual concierge on hand to offer sightseeing assistance. Motorists will find complimentary secure parking on site, and airport transfers can be arranged on request (surcharge).

Il Coriandolo is a traditional restaurant serving a range of Sicilian dishes accompanied by an extensive wine list; Posidonia is a rustic style restaurant offering Mediterranean and international dishes; and Toki Gardens is set on a covered terrace overlooking the park and serves Mediterranean and international fare.

Guestrooms. The 104 guestrooms feature modern decor in traditional style with Mediterranean style furnishings, and extend to balconies or terraces. Amenities include complimentary high speed Internet connections, satellite television with pay movies, clock radios, minibars and safes. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, bathrobes, slippers and complimentary toiletries.

Expert Tip. Mount Etna, 30 kilometres from the hotel, is the largest active volcano in Europe, although it is not considered dangerous. Thousands of people live on its slopes, which are planted with vineyards and orchards.
