Location.Hotel Sardegna is a modern, seven storey property situated three kilometres from the steep winding streets of Cagliari city centre and eight kilometres from Poetto Beach, on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Cagliari Airport is five kilometres from the hotel, around 15 minutes by car.
Hotel Features.The hotel offers a shuttle service to the beach and marina, and multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can assist with room service requests and lock valuables in the safe. Airport transfers (surcharge) can be arranged at the concierge desk, and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Hotel Sardegna's lounge is an ideal meeting place with a relaxed atmosphere, and cocktails are shaken and stirred in the American Bar. Free parking is also available.
Guests at Hotel Sardegna are offered a choice of Italian and regional Sardinian dishes in La Scala restaurant.
Guestrooms.The 90 air conditioned guestrooms, located on seven floors, feature simple, modern decor, and include cable television, multi line phones, high speed Internet connections, minibars, bathrobes and complimentary newspapers.
Expert Tip.Guests can catch the hotel's shuttle bus into Cagliari city centre, three kilometres away, and pass the cathedral up to the castle to admire stunning views of the sea and surrounding countryside.

Getting there. Buses operated by ARST run from the airport into Piazza Matteotti in the city every 30 minutes, roughly in accordance with flight schedules. Fares cost 2 EUR one way and the journey takes around 15 minutes. Tickets cannot be bought on the bus, but from the machine at the bus stop. Taxis are also available outside the terminal and fares to Sardegna Hotel cost around 14 EUR. The nearest but station to the hotel is three kilometres away. Cagliari can be easily explored on foot or by bus. All bus tickets must be purchased in advance (from a newspaper stand, or ticket booths near bus stops) and stamped inside the bus. A hire car is recommended for travelling further afield.
