Monte Tauro is a modern hotel built into the steep cliffs in Taormina, 400 metres from the town centre. The hotel is within 400 metres of the Taormina's main street Corso Umberto and the ancient Greek theatre. The village of Castelmola, which overlooks Taormina, is seven kilometres away and further afield, Mount Etna is 40 kilometres from the hotel. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 50 kilometres and an hour's drive away.

Interbus run a regular bus service connecting the airport with Taormina. Taxis are also available at the airport. Taormina train station is three kilometres from the hotel.
From Catania Fontanarossa Airport head north on the E45 in the direction of Messina, and exit towards Taormina, following signs for 'Taormina Centro'.
