Description |
Location. A chic design hotel, the Enterprise retains the character of its past as a 1930s Italian printing house, and lies three kilometres from the Duomo on one of the main thoroughfares into Milan's city centre. Malpensa Airport (MXP) is 35 kilometres away, around 50 minutes by car.
Hotel Features. Guests enter the hotel from the tram lined boulevard of Corso Sempione and arrive in a wide, marble walled lobby, lined with red leather sofas and antique style chests. Amongst the variety of Buddhist statues and Christian artwork in the hotel's public areas, guests are likely to mingle with fashion moguls and other trendy travellers. After a workout in the hotel gym, guests can sample fine wine, salami and cheese in the traditional wine cellar, available by prior arrangement. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel (surcharge).
The Enterprise Hotel's chic inner courtyard mixes contemporary design with a blend of Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, and Japanese artefacts, as well as deep red walls, hanging lamps, and greenery. Barbecues are held here during the summer months and drinks are served year round. Set in a former printing room, the restaurant blends contemporary design with antique style objects and serves both regional dishes and international cuisine.
Guestrooms. The Enterprise Hotel has 109 air conditioned guestrooms and suites spread over six floors. All have contemporary decor with clean lines, leather clad bedheads, cherry wood furnishings, and polished parquet floors. Desks have high speed Internet ports, whilst the television provides a range of entertainment services such as online movie and music libraries, video games console, and Internet with wireless keyboard (surcharges apply). Bathrooms are decorated with mosaic tiles.
Expert Tip. A favourite setting for fashion photographers is the hotel's mosaic tiled ladies' toilet near the conference centre, which is adorned with a floor to ceiling, wall to wall portrait in the style of Polish Art Deco artist Lempicka.
