The Westin Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is a sprawling waterfront hotel overlooking a private beach on the Lido, just a short boat ride away from San Marco Square. The hotel's 197 guestrooms are spread across seven floors with views over the sea, lagoon and city. Guestrooms are decorated in a Moorish style with drapes and upholstered furnishings in rich colors, and all offer patio areas, air conditioning, satellite television, safes, Internet access, minibars, and large marble bathrooms with telephones and bathrobes.

Guests can sunbathe on the hotel's private beach and cool off in a swimming pool overlooking the water. Children have their own splash pool and active travelers can enjoy a workout in the hotel gym, or refine their tennis game on the hotel's clay court. Guests can also enjoy complimentary boat rides to Venice, hire bicycles from the hotel or take a windsurfing lesson. Business guests benefit from a comprehensive business center with meeting rooms. The hotel offers diners three restaurants and four diversely themed bars serving snacks and drinks.

Horse riding is offered about one kilometer away and there are two golf clubs within eight kilometers of the hotel, or just a short boat ride away. Tourists will find the Casino Venice Lido and the Venice Tennis Club 100 meters from the hotel, while St Mark's Bell Tower, the Basilica and the Naval Historical Museum are 600 meters away. The famous Bridge of Sighs and Venice's main shopping area are one kilometer from the hotel.

Venice's main cultural and historical sights are about four kilometers from the hotel, including San Marco Square, the Grand Canal, the Doge's Palace, La Fenice Opera House, the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, the Rialto Bridge and the Jewish Ghetto.
